BioWare writer quits after receiving death threats to her children

Jennifer Hepler was a senior writer over at Bioware who was working on Dragon Age: Inquisition, but not anymore. She has quit Bioware to become a freelancer, all thanks to threats that she and the team got for ‘screwing’ up Dragon Age 2.

Dragon Age: Origins and its expansion became an enormous hit, so there was a lot of hype for the sequel but it didn’t reach the expectations of many fans. And now, these entitled fans think that it gives them a reason to leave Hepler email death threats against her and her children.

“I was shown a sample of the forum posts by EA security,” says Hepler. “And it included graphic threats to kill my children on their way out of school to show them that they should have been aborted at birth rather than have to have me as a mother.”

Hepler did an interview in 2006 and said she didn’t like combat in video games and that she wasn’t that much into gaming. This outraged fans and believed it to be reason enough to call her a ‘cancer’ to Bioware.
