Diablo 3 – Patch 1.0.4 Paragon System

Another addition to Diablo 3 that is a big change is the Paragon System. It is a second level progression system once you hit level 60 you will begin to level your “Paragon” levels that will span from 1-100 granting 3% gold find and 3% magic find per level. Blizzard is saying that the first paragon level will be about the experience needed to level from 59-60 and increase of course from there on. On every 10 level milestone you will receive a change on how your avatar shows in-game to you and others as shown below.

Not only are they changing that in magic find though they are adding a hard cap of 300%. Now what that really means is at low levels of paragon you will want to keep your current magic find set as you will have little magic find gain because of paragon however at high levels of paragon (50+ as at level 50 you will have a free 150% magic find) you might consider swapping out pieces from your set to improve your run speeds of whatever farming method you might be using. At level 100 paragon you will no longer need ANY magic find stats on your gear.

One smaller change that will affect the Paragon System would be the addition of 15% experience gained per stack on Nephalem valor so staying in games longer still benefits more than quicker runs if you ask me but that’s still up for debate widely in the community I believe. Just to also stave off any confusion possible your Nephalem valor magic find does NOT contribute to the 300% cap.

So I leave you with your first step into the new Paragon system. I hope you all have fun with it!
