Neverwinter coming to Xbox One in March

Cryptic Studios, the developers behind Neverwinter, have confirmed that the game will be released for Xbox One as a free-to-play download on Tuesday, 31st March.

Originally released on PC in June 2013, Neverwinter is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting from the Dungeons & Dragons series. Players are able to choose one of seven character classes as they join up in teams to explore the land of Neverwinter. Announced for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 last year, a closed beta took place on Xbox One earlier this month.

At launch, the Xbox One version will include all of the content from the base game, all current playable classes such as the Scourge Warlock, and the Tyranny of Dragons expansion pack. All Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download the game as a free-to-play package. Xbox One features such as the friends list and optimized controls will be used to introduce new and old players into the game world’s first venture onto consoles.
