Bioshock Infinite Delayed until 2013

Brace yourselves Bioshock fans; the release of Bioshock Infinite has been set back until February 26th, 2013.  Originally slated to hit the markets October 16 of this year, this first person shooter game will be the third in the Bioshock series and is highly anticipated.  Ken Levine, head designer of the series, sites the fact that the development team over at Irrational Games is working on a “very big game” in which they’re “doing things that no one has ever done in a first-person shooter”.  This delay should come as no surprise, as the original Bioshock was also delayed to work out some minute details to create the deliriously elaborate world we’ve all grown to love.

Don’t expect to see the game showcased at E3 and Gamescon as well.  To add to your anticipation, the developers have decided to focus their energy entirely into creating the game, and will not be developing models to satisfy any mysteries surrounding it.  Looks like February the 26th of next year will be a pretty big date.
