Battlefield Hardline goes Gold

Via the official Battlefield Twitter account, it has been confirmed that the next title in the Battlefield series has gone Gold on all platforms. When a game goes ‘Gold’, it means that development has officially finished and the game can begin to be distributed around the world. With what’s on the disk now final, any further work on the game would be addressed in Title Updates.

Following a delay, this news confirms that the game will indeed be ready to launch next month. Developed by Visceral Games, the developers behind games such as Dead Space 2 and 3, Battlefield Hardline focuses on a cops-and-robbers style of gameplay. Players will be able to carry out heists, hotwire cars, and rescue hostages, and the game retains the destructions elements that the series has become well known for.

Battlefield Hardline will be released on Tuesday, 17th March in North America and Thursday, 19th March in Europe for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
