WeLoveFine.com and IGN.com’s 8-BIT DESIGN CONTEST!

Los Angeles, CA, 05/11/12 — WeLoveFine.com is proud to announce a new contest to bring our customers, readers and old-school game lovers the 8-Bit T-Shirt Design Contest! It’s time for the internet’s best graphic designers, artists and fans to break it right down to the fundamentals: Namely, the humble pixel, upon which the wildly popular old-school video-game style of design is based. The great folks at IGN.com are on board as sponsors of this contest; plus, IGN.com‘s Editor-in-Chief, Casey Lynch, and Harmonix developer Ryan Lesser will serve as guest judges for this gamer-centric group! Submissions are now open for artists to enter their 8-bit designs through June 1st; customers will rate the submissions from June 15 – July 6, with the winners announcement taking place on July 27!
It’s time for to take your imaginations into the digital realm, artists – retro style! One of the most popular and best-loved by geek culture of all of our trend categories at WeLoveFine.com has been the Pixel Art or 8-Bit group, in which vintage 8-bit video game style is the name of the game – so we decided to make pixels our game for this latest contest! We want to see some bits, bytes & bobs of classic pixel style, and we anticipate getting the word out so that the contestants will come up with some delightfully unique applications for this enduring pop-culture look. Artists can submit a unique creation of their own, or they can utilize licensed characters so long as they are licenses that we have rights to at WeLoveFine.com. (Artists may refer to our Brands listings for which licenses they can work in, this may be accessed at the following URL: ; all submissions using licensed characters will be subject to licensor approval.)
If you do please comment here so we can see if anyone from our community did good!
