I think that integration of familiar hubs is great so both communities that are combining in this game are comfy with certain areas. Hopefully more information is coming about this game as I love the way TellTale Games executes stories!
Tales from the Borderlands is an upcoming adventure game based on the Borderlands series, with a planned release starting in mid 2014 for various platforms. The game is being developed by Telltale Games in partnership with Gearbox Software. The game will follow a similar episodic format that Telltalle has used for its titles The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, where player choices and actions will have significant affects on later story elements. In addition, the game will include some of the gunplay that the Borderlands series is known for.
