Soulcalibur II HD Online Out Nov 19

Namco Bandai has announced an official release date for Soulcalibur II HD Online. Project Soul’s masterpiece fighter will transcend history November 19th on Playstation Network in North America. Xbox 360 and both platforms in Europe on November 20th.

This new HD re-release will retail for $19.99 and include high-definition visuals, all game modes from the original release, as well as support for online multiplayer with new versus modes over PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The original release in 2002 included exclusive fighters to specific platforms; Heihachi from Tekken (Playstation 2), Spawn (Xbox) and Link from The Legend of Zelda (Gamecube). This time around both versions of the game will feature both Heihachi and Spawn. Unfortunately, due to the Nintendo Wii U not accruing enough support from fans for a release of the game on the system, Link is in hiatus. No word yet if the character will be added at a later time.

Crossing my fingers for high performance and smooth frame rate. Soulcalibur II is easily one of my favorite fighting games of all time and a reason why my Gamecube is still plugged in.
