Liverpool and England midfielder Jordan Henderson has been confirmed as the UK cover co-star of FIFA 16. Henderson will join long-time FIFA cover star Lionel on the UK edition of FIFA 16 and the news comes on the day that he was also announced as the next Liverpool FC captain following the departure of Steven Gerrard to LA Galaxy.
Henderson was chosen as the cover star following weeks of voting where fans were able to select who they wanted to see join Messi on the cover. Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea FC), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) and Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) were also in contention. Over 9.7m votes were cast for the UK vote, as well as different polls for Australia, France, Latin America, and Mexico.
FIFA 16 is set to land in North America on September 22nd, EU on September 24th, and in UK on September 25th.
