Killer Instinct Characters to cost $5 each

The Classic fighting game Killer Instinct, which is making a re-appearance on the Xbox One as a free-2-play game, has stated that characters will cost $5 each. There will be six characters at launch but the game will include one free character, Jago. So to play as classic characters such as Sabrewulf, Glacius and more it could cost you $25 or more, but there is a catch. You can buy the Combo Breaker Pack which will cost you $19.99 and gives you all six starter characters and two additional post-launch characters. There will also be an Ultra Edition which will contain all characters, costumes, accessories and a copy of the original Killer Instinct. So essentially Killer Instinct, although labeled a free-2-play game, is actually a downloadable demo with a buy it now feature added on. So unless you are the picky type of gamer that fights only with a couple characters, it looks like buying one of the special editions is right up your alley.
