Due to the high demand of PlayStation 4s GameStop has stopped the ability to pre-order the PS4 online. They have now directed customers toward a mailing list for those interested. On the other hand many games such as Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, Infamous: Second Son, Battlefield 4, and Watch Dogs can still be pre-ordered. Along with accessories such as the DualShock 4 and PlayStation camera.
A GameStop spokesperson told GameInformer,”Due to high demand for the system, GameStop is not currently taking additional store reservations for the PlayStation 4″ to confirm there cease of pre-orders.
At one point Sony said they had an unlimited allocation for launch, making it seem that they have hit a happy mark now to produce. This is the best thing for Sony at this point having the initial sale boost over Microsoft. Surely in the near future Microsoft will find a way to answer back.
For now GameStop is no longer taking pre-orders at GameStop locations for the Xbox One, due to reaching there launch day allocation. However, the GameStop is still accepting pre-orders for the next generation system online.
