Call of Duty: Ghosts requires day one patch to run at 1080p on the PlayStation 4

These past couple of weeks have been quite controversial in regards to the Xbox One versus the PlayStation 4 in sheer graphical performance. With rumors coming from all angles hinting that the PlayStation 4 was to get a graphically superior version of both EA’s “Battlefield 4” and Activision’s “Call of Duty: Ghosts,” fans from both sides have been rampant for answers.

By now we all know the answer with the PlayStation 4 has the superior resolution on both respected titles; but there is a catch. As it turns out, the PC, Wii U and PlayStation 3 versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts are not the only one being short changed by rush jobs. Instead, the PlayStation 4 version has also suffered, as it actually requires a patch to run in it’s claimed native 1080p resolution.

“There was a configuration issue in the retail version on single-player mode only. This has been addressed with a day one software update. People will be able to download the day one update when PlayStation 4 launches in their territory and play at native 1080p.”

This day one patch goes along with Infinity Ward’s claim of fixing the mentioned frame rate issues every non-Xbox 360 variant of the game is said to be suffering from.
