BioShock Infinite Blue Ribbon Sweepstakes

Did you ever want your name in a video game? Well now is your chance!

Irrational Games has announced a Blue Ribbon Sweepstakes. They will be selecting three names and placing them in the world of BioShock Infinite. These names will be viewable in the third DLC pack, BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea – Episode Two. The location in-game will be determined at a later date by Irrational Games. Each winner will receive a screenshot of that location and directions on how to find their name when available.

To enter you need to download Clash in the Clouds (Steam, PSN and/or XBL) and complete all 60 Blue Ribbon Challenges. Once you unlock the achievement/trophy for completing all challenges, your username will be on the leaderboards and automatically entered into the sweepstakes. For those that may have already completed these challenges or made significant progress there’s no need to panic, any progress made previous to this announcement will count towards completing this goal.

The Blue Ribbon Sweepstakes ends August 27, 2013 at 9:00 AM EST. Three lucky contestants will then be chosen at random, across all platforms, from all players that completed the task and who have met certain eligibility requirements.

Irrational Games has held similar contests in the past. In May of 2011 they had a “Name in the Game” contest for BioShock Infinite and randomly selected the name “Payton Lane Easter” from over a hundred thousand entries. His name was used in a in-world advertisement. During PAX East 2012 they picked three lucky fans to have their faces in BioShock Infinite and featured as non-playable characters.

This is another one of those rare opportunities for BioShock Infinite fans to be featured virtually within the game. We imagine the participation will be considerable based on what we know about Burial At Sea Episode Two. The DLC is said to take place in the underwater city of Rapture (BioShock) before it’s fall from grace, which is even more of a reason for fans to get involved.
