Rise of the Tomb Raider news teased for Monday

Crystal Dynamics is set to reveal more about Rise of the Tomb Raider this Monday, it appears. The game’s official Twitter and Facebook accounts posted that ‘something is coming’ and that fans should mark Monday, June 1st into their calendars. The accounts also directly linked to the Xbox page for Rise of the Tomb Raider, so there can be no doubt as to what game they’re referring to.

Not much of the game has been shown since its announcement at last year’s E3, although it was the cover story for Game Informer earlier this year. Environment is expected to be a key ‘antagonist’ in the game, animals and humans will react to the weather, and there will be more emphasis on puzzle-based gameplay. With the game pencilled in as a key part of Microsoft’s fall exclusives, it’s likely we’ll see more at Microsoft’s E3 conference, including a potential gameplay demo. Before then, however, is the news which is due in two days!

Rise of the Tomb Raider looks set to arrive on Xbox One and Xbox 360 later this year. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer recently further reiterated that the game is only a timed-exclusive for Xbox, further strengthing the possibility of it reaching other platforms at a later date.
