PlayStation exclusive multiplayer beta for Black Ops 3 looks set to last 5 days

We already knew that the Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta would kick off first on PlayStation 4, but this past week Treyarch announced that its start was August 19th. The latest news, however, sheds light on how long the beta will be exclusive for.

At Comic Con, attendees were able to take part in a Zombies-themed Escape Room Challenge where they were tasked with finding their way out of a room. For taking part, attendees received some exclusive goodies such as a Mega Bloks figurine, comic book preview, sunglasses, and a chance to double their entry for the Be a Zombie competition. One of the other things included, however, was a 30 day trial for PlayStation Plus.

On the trial card are the words ‘PlayStation Exclusive’ with the dates August 19-23 underneath. It would certainly seem that this indicates that the beta will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 between these dates with Xbox One and PC receiving it onwards from after August 23rd. It’s still not confirmed how long the beta will last and whether it will run in one go or take a break in between before launching on all platforms.

Treyarch are set to reveal more about the beta including dates for the other platforms in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
