The $1 Million Perfect Game Challenge is back as part of this year’s MLB 2K12, making this the third consecutive year 2K Games has run the contest. The contest awards $1 million to the contestant who pitches the best overall perfect game in MLB 2K12’s Perfect Game Challenge Mode. This year 2K Games plans to crown this year’s Perfect Game champion and award the $1 million prize after a live eight-person final tournament. Players can begin entering the Perfect Game Challenge on April 4, 2012, the opening day of the 2012 baseball season. In previous years, 2K Games awarded the $1 million prize to the first person to submit verifiable proof of a perfect game.
Finalists will be determined by a dynamic leaderboard that tracks the top perfect games thrown in MLB 2K12’s Perfect Game Challenge Mode and submitted to the official contest page through a unique code generated at the end of a perfect game. Once the competition begins on April 4, players have until the end of April to attempt to improve their standing on the leaderboards with new perfect game submissions. MLB 2K12 is developed by 2K Sports studio Visual Concepts and releases on March 6, 2012.
