Telltale Games has announced that their storytelling of the Mojang’s hugely popular Minecraft game, dubbed ‘Minecraft: Story Mode’, will be available worldwide beginning Tuesday, October 13th. Episode 1, which is called ‘The Order of the Stone’, will be available on that date around the world as a digital package on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Mac. It will also be available two days later for iOS and Android devices, with a future release also planned for Wii U and PlayStation Vita. A physical version of the game for Xbox and PlayStation will be available on October 27 in North America and October 30 in Europe (PC players in Europe will also be able to purchase a physical edition).
In Minecraft: Story Mode, players will take control of a male or female character called ‘Jesse’, who, in a Telltale first, can be customized via three different appearances. The story takes players on a quest to locate The Order of the Stone and thus save the world from oblivion.
The game will include an impressive voice cast, including Patton Oswalt as male Jesse, Catherine Taber as female Jesse, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Billy West, and Paul Reubens.
