The heroic tales of Master Chief traveling across the galaxy uncovering mysteries of the past to protect humanity’s future. We think about Cortana and her hardships, her struggle with rampancy and her sacrifice. The Campaign has many stories, but what are the stories of Multiplayer?
In many ways, the stories that unfold through Halo’s Multiplayer are more emotional and, like a prism, incredibly multi-faceted because they are written by you. Sharing the stories of Multiplayer is where the Halo Championship Series was born. Snip3down is not the Master Chief. He is Eric Wrona, captain of Evil Geniuses, the number one Halo team in the world. Arkanum is Jacob Santos, who shocked everyone by leading his 8th seed team to 3rd place at the Season 1 Finals after a heartbreaking loss in the 5th tie breaker game against Counter Logic Gaming. iGotUrPistola is Justin Deese, who suffered a hand injury that saw him replaced from Evil Geniuses while he could only watch and contemplate his return as his former team became champions without him.
The stories these characters shared this past year in the Halo Championship Series were just the beginning. With the release of Halo 5: Guardians rapidly approaching, we’re excited to announce Halo World Championship, the next chapter in the story of Halo Multiplayer and the Halo Championship Series.
