Sledgehammer Games has announced that two new loot variants, Legendary and Retired, will be coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for Xbox on Tuesday, June 9th, with dates for PlayStation and PC to follow.
The Legendary loot variants will provide players with even better weapons and gear than the previous highest class, Elite. Kicking off the Legendary variant is the Sentinel CI Gear Set (8 pieces) which is currently only available for the first player to reach Grand Master Prestige, making it the most rare piece of item available in the game.
Retired loot variants are a bit different to the variants we’ve seen so far as the variants will be removed from the collection rather than added. When in effect from next month, items that are categorised as Retired will no longer be available in drops. If you’ve already redeemed the items and placed them in your Armory, however, you’ll still be able to use them in matches, meaning that they’ll become even rarer. The six variants confirmed to be Retired in two weeks can be seen in the images below.
Both of these loot variants affect Supply Drops and Advanced Supply Drops and will be put in place starting June 9th for Xbox.
