Cmoar headset for Virtual Reality with integrated electronics fully funded on Kickstarter

Cmoar Ltd. – the company behind Cmoar headset for Virtual Reality with integrated electronics is proud to announce, that after months of hard work their unique device not only got fully funded on Kickstarter gathering the initial $100,000 after only 2 weeks of the campaign, but also managed to reach the $120,000 stretch goal. It’s a huge success for a Polish studio, that will start delivering first Cmoar headsets to backers, who supported the campaign, in June this year.

Now, another rather lesser known name enters the VR headset race along with the bigger fish like Oculus, Sony, and so on. But none of those really focus on what Cmoar really is trying to do here and that’s adding another not only dimension to your regular Android Phone or iPhone, but adding on many other things such as Augmented Reality using the Cellphone’s built in camera as well.

So, that leads to what is it? Well, a Wireless Virtual Reality headset meant for 4″-5.7″ phones (Yes that means you iPhone 6 Plus guys get in on the fun too). Optionally using the streaming functionality of the headset using your computer or console you can purchase a separate add-on screen for the Cmoar headset and get either one of two 5.98″ 1920×1080 (1080p – 368ppi) or 2560×1440 (1440p – 491ppi).

Now, unfortunately since the Kickstarter is now over you can no longer order one just yet. However the first units sent to backers will start in June, 2015 just two months away really and I would expect orders to open up around that time as well. The Kickstarter price for one set was $99 USD (They came in 3 different versions as well) as well as a slew of optional gear to get as extras such as an extended battery, stands, gamepads and more. Expect that price however to rise a little bit due to it being out of Kickstarter however.
