During the finals of the Call of Duty Championship 2015 today, Activision revealed the first gameplay footage of the upcoming multiplayer maps coming in the Ascendance DLC in a few days. The maps featuered during a Grudge Match which included American Football players and pro gaming players, and was in support of the Call of Duty Endowement, a organization which aims to help veterans find jobs.
There are four new multiplayer maps; Chop Shop, Perplex, Site 244 and Climate. Chop Shop is set in a black market exoskeleton industrial complex where the map-based scorestreak will allow players to wreak havoc with an Advanced Repulsion Turret. Perplex is set in Sydney where players must battle across a five-story apartment complex. Site 244 takes players on an extraterrestrial discovery where an alien spacecraft has crash landed at the foot of Mt. Rushmore. In climate, a climate-controlled enclosure provides players with the tricky obstacle of avoiding deadly river water changes.
On top of the new maps, multiplayer will also see the introduction of a new weapon, the OHM and OHM-Werewolf custom-variant, as well as the new Exo Grapple Exo Ability which will enable players to quickly reach vantage points.
We don’t have the Grudge Match video yet, but you can find some new gameplay videos from a selection of YouTubers below, including our own footage of Chop Shop. You can also check out the new Exo Zombies ‘Infection’ trailer here.
Ascendance will be released first on Xbox Live this coming Tuesday. The DLC pack will include four multiplayer maps, an Exo Zombies level, a multiplayer weapon, and a multiplayer Exo Ability.
