Ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s launch later this week, Treyarch has announced on their blog that a fan request for the PC version is returning: Modding and Mapping tools!
Modding and mapping tools will be available sometime next year, allowing PC players to create their own custom maps, game modes and more. Unranked Dedicated Server Files will be included, enabling players to run servers with their modded content anywhere they wish, while an Unranked Server Browser will let players find and join servers with modded content. A March 2016 date is set for a targeted Alpha test, with an Open Beta also planned.
Black Ops 3 is launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this upcoming Friday.
