Xbox executive Phil Harrison reported to be leaving Microsoft

Xbox executive, Phil Harrison, is reported to be leaving Microsoft according to GamesIndustry.biz who learned of the news through multiple sources at GDC 2015.

According to their report, it’s believed that Harrison grew frustrated at a lack of promotion following the departure of Don Mattrick as head of Xbox, whom was subsequently replaced with Phil Spencer. Microsoft representatives, including Spencer himself, have declined to make a comment about whether Harrison will be leaving or not.

Harrison joined Microsoft in March 2012 having been appointed as VP of the Interactive Entertainment Business and head of Xbox’s EMEA division. He had previously been positioned in a senior role at Sony and founded London Venture Partners.
