Elite Dangerous to make console debut on Xbox One

During their GDC conference, head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, announced that PC title Elite Dangerous will be headed to Xbox One this summer.

The third title in the Elite series, Elite Dangerous was released at the end of last year, nearly 20 years since the previous title was released.

With single player and online multiplayer support, the game is based around a space setting where a trading and combat simulator system allows the player to further explore the galaxy.

Developed by Frontier Developments, Elite Dangerous was previously only available on PC. However, today’s announcement confirms that it will be making its console debut on Xbox One in the summer. The Xbox One version will also include all of the content recently added to the PC version through the ‘February’s Community Goals’ update, as well as the ‘March’s Wing’ update which is released on PC next week.
