Warface coming to Xbox 360 in Early 2014

Crytek’s Free-to-play online shooter Warface will do it’s about face on the Xbox 360 in early 2014. Crytek announced it’s arrival on the console on the trailer shown here. Warface is Crytek’s first free-to-play game and has not yet said which studio will be developing the 360 version of the game. The PC version runs on the CryEngine 3 and is in beta testing at the moment. Warface is a military shooter set in the near future, and Crytek claims it offers a cinematic experience with next-gen visuals, artificial intelligence, and physics. Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli, aware of the free-to-play image had this to say about their game, “We know that free-to-play games have a bad image, They have a bad reputation; ‘it’s pay to win, it’s low quality.’ I completely get that, but we are making free-to-play that’s high quality. It’s CryEngine 3; it’s a big investment.”

Pick A Side Trailer

With all that being said, I look forward to seeing what this game is all about. It looks like a cross between every fps game that is on its way out at the moment, such as BF4, COD Ghosts and Titanfall. I intend on giving this game some hours of my time and seeing if it’s worth it. You can check out all the trailers and see for yourself how the game plays and get the visuals. Maybe i’ll see you on the battlefield with my Warface. After all, the game will be free.
