TitanFall leads sale charts while Xbox One ships 5 million units to retailers

It’s no secret that Sony has been dominating the sales chart with their PlayStation 4 console. With over 7 million units sold to customers since release, it took an early lead in the “next-gen” console race. With that said, Xbox One has been doing comfortably “ok,” but has not set the world on fire with their more expensive, less focused Xbox One.

With Microsoft banking on TitanFall as a console seller this past month, all eyes have been on EA’s all new first person shooter and it’s effect on Microsoft’s brand new console’s sales. With NPD sales reports coming to a close, it has come out that TitanFall did lead the sales charts for the month of March, however Sony’s PlayStation 4 still lead in overall console’s sold in comparison to the Xbox One.

This did not stop Microsoft from commenting on that matter, as they have announced that over 5 million Xbox Ones have been shipped to retail outlets since release:

We’re also happy to share today that more than 5 million Xbox One consoles have been sold-in to retailers since our launch. The new generation is off to a strong start, with global Xbox One sales outpacing Xbox 360 by more than 60 percent at the same point in time, a true testament to your love of console gaming.

Although this is no where near the 7 million units sold to customers in regards to the PlayStation 4, it does show that their is a recirculating stock and strong interest in Microsoft’s console.

Own an Xbox One? Are you enjoying it?
