Shank 2 Questions answered on Facebook

Jamie Cheng, founder of Klei Entertainment, developer team on Shank 2, has been answering fans questions on the Shank facebook page. We found some decent intel within the postings and figured we would share it with you.

Facebook user:Will there be a Shank 3?
Klei: no plans right now. Only if we feel we can make it meaningfully different.

Facebook user: Will there be any eastereggs hidden?
Klei: yep.

Facebook user:Is it gonna be priced like the first one and is it gonna have a Steam release?
Klei: Shank 2 is priced at $10 — even less than Shank 1! And yes, it will have a Steam release.

Facebook user: Will it release beta let player share comment for improve it’s performance?
If don’t have it,will it release demo?
Klei: there won’t be a beta, but there is a demo.

Facebook user: What types of new weapons will we using to slay baddies with this time around?
Klei: you can pick up all sorts of stuff along the way that your enemies are carrying (bats, cleavers, fish, etc) plus we gave a few new permanent weapons. I won’t ruin it by saying it all, though.

Facebook user: Will hard/insane mode be equally as hard/insane? Shank on the highest difficulty was quite the butt kicker. Are there difficulty modes for survival?
Klei:am I answering an interview in real-time? Hard is pretty darn hard, though we did add moderate checkpoints this time around. Survival has no difficulty modes because it’s already bloody hard in the later waves.

Facebook user: are there going to be the unlockable character thing again? Caus that was well cool 🙂 (also a hint on how many if so?)
Klei: more than last time 🙂

Facebook user: Will Shank 2 support Steam cloud ?
Klei:Answer to your question is yes! We support Steam Cloud.

Facebook user:I keep hearing there’ll be more content and game time. Are we getting a platinum trophy this time around?
Klei: alas, that’s not up to us. We asked Sony if we could add a Platinum trophy but they declined.

Facebook user: When will the demo of Shank 2 come out?
Klei: should be same day as the launch

So as you can see we can expect more check-points, leaderboards for both story and survival. Know that survival is going to have hard waves, Demo out same day as launch and much more.
