Report: Respawn working on ‘Third-Person Action/Adventure Game’

Via Game Informer, it’s been noted that Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment has recently opened up multiple job listings on Gamasutra, giving us hints about what we can expect from the developer in the future.

The listings confirm that Respawn are working on two titles, one of which is the inevitable sequel to 2014’s Titanfall. The first title was released as an Xbox One and PC exclusive, but last year the sequel was confirmed to be coming to PlayStation. The second game in the works which Respawn is currently recruiting for has been described as a new IP set within the third person action/adventure genre.

“We are now recruiting designers for two game development projects – a new game in the Titanfall universe as well as a new 3rd person action/adventure IP. Respawn is seeking a Senior Level Designer to embrace and contribute to the project vision, breathing life into the gameplay world and helping define the moment to moment player experience.”

We’ll have to wait for some concrete announcements, but it’s exciting to see Respawn working on new IP as well as expanding on Titanfall. The developer was formed six years by many ex employees of Infinity Ward, with God of War director Stig Asmussen a notable addition nearly two years ago.
