Nvidia ShadowPlay Beta Available Oct. 28th

Nvidia is getting involved in the game capture market by introducing it’s own game capture software titled “ShadowPlay”. The Beta version is set to release on October 28th and it will allow players to capture game footage and eventually livestream as well. ShadowPlay requires a recent Nvidia graphics card — GeForce GTX 600 series and above — because only those GPUs feature the on-board H.264 video encoder that’s necessary for it to work. The software can record footage at up to 60 frames per second in 1080p, with a CPU performance hit of between 5 and 10 percent, according to Nvidia. The files will be in MP4 format for your use in editing programs or to just upload to YouTube. For more details feel free to check out the video below.
