With August just around the corner, Microsoft has finally confirmed the Xbox games that will be available for free next month with Games with Gold. As long as you’re an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, you’ll be able to pick up two games each on Xbox One and Xbox 360 for the duration of the month.
First of all, Metal Gear Sold V: Ground Zeroes will be available for free on Xbox One throughout the whole of August. Released in March last year, the game is a prologue for the upcoming The Phantom Pain which is due for release on September 1st. Beginning August 16th and lasting until September 15th, open-world survival title How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition will also be available for free on Xbox One. As for Xbox 360, Metro 2033 will be free for the first half of the month before sequel Metro: Last Light takes over.

If you don’t have an Xbox 360 anymore, it’s worthwhile still capitalizing on the freebies in case the titles become backwards compatible! And if you don’t have an Xbox One yet, Games with Gold is a great opportunity to make sure you’re welcomed with a catalog of games when you do get a new console.
There’s still a limited amount of time to cash in on this month’s Games with Gold, with Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag currently available for free on Xbox One and Gears of War 3 on Xbox 360. So Many Me is also available at no cost on Xbox One until August 15th.
