Kit Harington confirmed to star as villain in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Activision have just confirmed that Kit Harington will be playing the main villain in Infinity Ward’s upcoming Infinite Warfare. The British actor is perhaps best known for playing Jon Snow on HBO’s Game of Thrones. In this year’s Call of Duty he will be playing the role of the main character behind the game’s opposing faction – the Settlement Defense Front.

Having worked on the Black Ops 2 live-action trailer, director Guy Ritchie will be returning to the franchise to help out in some capacity. More information on Infinite Warfare is expected to arrive soon via this month’s Game Informer cover story which was revealed earlier today.

“Kit is an amazing talent, and the consummate pro. Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front. We can’t wait for fans to see Kit play an entirely different kind of character.”– Taylor Kurosaki, Infinity Ward narrative director

Infinite Warfare is scheduled for release on November 4th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Tickets go on sale tomorrow for Call of Duty XP 2016, the ultimate fan celebration where multiplayer and more will be revealed.
