EA details new features coming to Career Mode in FIFA 17

Ahead of its launch at the end of next month, EA have today released a bunch of new details regarding FIFA 17’s Career Mode.

The mode will introduce fully rendered managers roaming around on the sideline, a whole new league and more control over the club’s season. Here’s a rundown of some of the new features…

  • Total Club Management provides players with a whole new set of objectives based on what the board sees as most important. The board’s expectations will be based on Domestic Success, Continental Success, Brand Exposure, Financial and Youth Development. For example, there may be a long-term plan of promoting youth players which in all likelihood would probably have a big impact on the spending budget. Other objectives include returning to the top division, expanding the brand in another country and signing world class players.
  • Club Worth will provide a bit of a shake-up to the financial system. Players will now be able to see a detailed summary of the club’s profit and losses with transfer fees, loans, match-day revenue, media and merchandising, and youth facilities a few of the aspects covered.
  • For the first time in the series, managers will be visible on the touchline! Players will be able to choose one of 11 managers that will appear animated in the technical area.
  • Players will be able to compete in the Japan J1 League, an all-new league coming to FIFA 17.
