E3 2012: Medal of Honor: Warfighter multiplayer hands-on

My private hands-on play through began with a briefing video from Warfighter’s lead producer, alongside the head of multiplayer for the game. The duo explained several online features, concepts and goals of the game. They even included a first look at the game’s six classes. Each of these classes have their advantages for the type of player you might be, if you’re a sniper, a seal is your best bet and etc. They even confirmed that the game will have 72 customizable options from outfits to gun skins, each different according to which class you’ll be playing as.

During the video they covered the concept of a “Fire Team”. This is a real life system used in today’s military. This basically becomes your squad or team. You can spawn on your teammate, heal each other and give each other ammo. Through out the match you will always have contact with your ‘buddy’ as his outline and image will be visible to you no matter where he or she is on the map. This to me brings a great element to this game. Not only can you now solely rely on that one person but you have the chance to be the number one fire team within the game.

Once the video was done we were welcomed to play a round of multiplayer. We played Capture the Flag, I tried out every class as we played and realized something, they all had their own positives for certain play style but none seemed over powering that any one using it would have a great advantage. Everything from guns to the armor seemed balanced. The map wasn’t to big for the 6v6 and seems like you were in the action instantly.

Graphics was smooth and flawless, the game never hiccupped on this build. I was amazed at the detail in buildings and also the sound was as spectacular as ever. Keep in mind though the versions shown off were off PC and might not be as reflective once they are on the console but if they do it will be one the most addicting multiplayers this Fall.
