Call of Duty XP 2016 announced for September, features multiplayer reveal

Activision have today announced that Call of Duty XP is returning this year! Following on from the successful inaugural event five years ago, the three-day celebration is set to take place at the Forum in Inglewood, California between September 2nd-4th.

Dubbed as the ultimate Call of Duty experience for fans across the globe, Call of Duty XP 2016 is open for the public and tickets go on sale at 10am PDT (1pm EDT/6pm BST) this Saturday. There are three difference packages to choose from, ranging from $49 to $199. The cheapest option comes with access to the event and digital content while the more expensive ones include VIP Lounge access, meet and greets, the Infinite Warfare Digital Deluxe Edition, and much more.

Plenty of activities will be available throughout, including:

  • Infinite Warfare multiplayer will be revealed and playable alongside the all-new Zombies mode, Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer and the fourth and final DLC pack for Black Ops 3.
  • The annual Call of Duty Championship final will take place with 32 teams competing for the largest prize pool in Call of Duty history.
  • Players will be able to compete in Nuketown Paintball or take part in Zombies Laser Tag.
  • An exclusive PlayStation VR experience will be available, allowing players to feel what it’s like to pilot the Jackal personal fighter jet.
  • Panels and Q&As with the development teams from Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games.
  • A Call of Duty armory and museum.
  • Photo booths and experiential activities.
  • A surprise musical guest.
  • Action will be live-streamed for those unable to attend.
