A Tournament feature kicks off on PlayStation 4 today

Sony have today announced a new partnership with eSports organization ESL to bring an all-new Tournaments feature to PlayStation 4.

Starting from today, competitive players will be able to compete against others through the new Tournaments feature on their console. All they have to do is sign up, await a notification prompt and then compete with another player. Entrants will need a copy of the game, a PlayStation Plus subscription and to have linked their ESL account.

Tournaments can be found under the Events section of the PlayStation 4 menu interface and to begin with will support 1v1 matches on NBA 2K17. The first tournament lasts for a month beginning from next Thursday and the top 3 winners will receive a prize pack consisting of items like controllers and PlayStation gear. More games and features will be announced in the coming months.
